Draft for launch review. A qualified lead is a homeowner inquiry containing usable contact information and a project request that reasonably matches the contractor's selected trade and service area.
A lead is an opportunity to quote work, not a guaranteed job. Contractors are responsible for contacting the homeowner, qualifying the project further and agreeing on price and scope.
At launch, invalid leads may be reviewed for a replacement or credit when the phone/email is demonstrably false, the request is clearly outside the agreed service area or trade, or the same lead was accidentally billed twice. A homeowner who simply does not answer or chooses another contractor is not automatically an invalid lead.
If a lead is sold as exclusive, it should be routed to only one paid contractor through Alberta Contractor Connect. Any future shared-lead product should be identified clearly before purchase.
